- Select Save PDF to download the edited copy.
Good to know
- This tool adds new content on top of the page. It does not change or re-flow text that is already in the PDF.
- Added text stays real, selectable text in Latin (including accented and Vietnamese letters), Cyrillic and Greek. Basic Latin text uses built-in PDF fonts; other letters use an embedded Noto font, which adds roughly 250–300 KB per font style used.
- Right-to-left scripts (Arabic, Hebrew) and characters our fonts don’t include (for example Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Indic scripts or emoji) are added as a sharp image of the text instead, so they can’t be selected or searched.
- White box is not redaction. It hides content visually, but the text underneath can still be copied or extracted. Do not use it to remove confidential information.
- Added items are flattened into the page and cannot be edited again after saving.
Frequently asked questions
Can I edit the existing text in my PDF?
Not yet. Replacing existing text while keeping the exact font and spacing is unreliable across PDFs, so this version only adds new content. A common workaround is a white box over the old text with a new text box on top — but remember the old text is still in the file.
Does it work on scanned documents?
Yes — you can add text, drawings and signatures on top of scanned pages. Recognizing the scanned text (OCR) is not supported.
Is my document uploaded?
No. The PDF is opened and saved entirely in your browser.
